Diplomat Enterprise Edition efficiently controls business-critical file transfer environments. It is optimized for businesses that require tight oversight of a high volume of file transfers with a large number of business partners, vendors, or other remote sites. Diplomat Enterprise Editions offers the features you need when you make a strategic decision to centrally manage your secure file transfers.

Diplomat Enterprise Edition offers mission-critical features including:

Real-time job monitoring displays a snapshot of all your file transfer jobs. You can see when each job is scheduled, the last time it ran, and whether it was successful. The job monitor console shows the results of the most recent execution of each file transfer job and its current status with on-screen indicators that designate, whether a file transfer job is suspended, scheduled, or running. You can directly suspend or release jobs for scheduling and, when needed, cancel jobs that are executing. If a file transfer job is in trouble, you can immediately start to diagnose and address the problem with one-click access to recent log file entries for the job.

The comprehensive audit capabilities in Enterprise Edition can demonstrate compliance with regulatory mandates, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA,or Sarbanes-Oxley. Diplomat Enterprise Edition captures data for every file transfer job and the user ID and IP address of any user activity that affects the Diplomat database.

The built-in audit database capability in Standard Edition is expanded with SQL database support for high-capacity database support, customizable reporting, and integration with corporate databases.

Supports MySQL, Microsoft SQLserver, and other ODBC-compliant databases.

File transfers are often part of a larger workflow process.  With Diplomat, you can initiate pre-processing or post-processing jobs by defining commands or referring to scripts when you set up a transaction. For example, assume you receive files, such as time and attendance data from your branch offices.  When Diplomat has successfully downloaded and decrypted the files, you may need to start a job to initiate payroll processing on the files.

When a business partner calls to report a security breach, you can immediately suspend all file transfers with that business partner. And, when the security issue is resolved, all file transfer jobs with that partner can be released for scheduling.

After you set up your file transfers, you can create a backup copy of Diplomat's central transaction database. If your Diplomat database is ever lost or corrupted, you can quickly restore it from the backup copy in one simple step.

Event notifications can be sent if a file transfer fails or if it succeeds. You may need failure notifications for quick resolution of file transfer problems or success notifications to let users know that new files are available for further processing.

  • Email Notifications

Diplomat Enterprise Edition customizes email notifications to business users and IT support.  Email to business users summarizes what occurred during a file transfer job, such as the names, sizes, and locations of files that were successfully transferred.  IT support users typically need email notifications only when a file transfer fails, so IT support emails also include a copy of the detailed log entries for the file transfer job to assist in immediate diagnosis and resolution of file transfer problems.

  •  Pager Notifications

For more urgent situations, you can send pager notifications for critical errors, errors, or for warnings.  Errors that affect all file transfers are considered critical.  Errors that affect an individual file transfer job are considered errors. Warnings indicate that a file transfer job completed, but had a non-fatal error.

With Diplomat Enterprise Edition's intuitive user interface, you can customize file transfer parameters, such as whether to delete source files after the transfer, whether to overwrite existing files, or the name or location of the destination file. In addition, you can set up profiles for each of your partners, including location of source and destination files, encryption and signature keys, and FTP information. If a partner changes its FTP server name or sends you a new public key, you make the change once in the partner profile and it will be reflected automatically in all of your transactions with that partner.

You can set up file transfers to run by minutes or hours, daily, or monthly. In addition to scheduled file transfers, you can execute a file transfer manually at any time using the 'Run Now' feature.

3rd Party Scheduling with Auto-Rollover Capability

In addition to the built-in scheduling capabilities, with Diplomat Enterprise Edition you can choose to initiate file transfer jobs using a 3rd party scheduler or other application.  Each 3rd party request can specify up to 10 installations of Diplomat Enterprise Edition. The file transfer job will automatically "roll over" to the first available installation.

Enterprise Edition manages file transfers between any combination of local network, FTP, FTPS(SSH), and SFTP(SSL) servers. Secure FTP ensures your login data is protected in transit.  And, you can pre-test secure FTP connections and account information – without executing an actual file transfer.

Fully-integrated OpenPGP capabilities ensure end-to-end data security. Encrypting and signing files before they leave the protection of your firewall assures your trading partners that files they receive were sent by you and have not been tampered with in transit. Files from trading partners that you must decrypt and verify on receipt provides you the same protection.

In addition, you can encrypt files to be archived with your own alternate encryption key to ensure the data is safely stored, but can be decrypted when needed.

Diplomat offers a richly-featured management console for the leading OpenPGP command line products: Authora EDGE, McAfee E-Business Server, PGP Command Line Server, and Veridis FileCrypt.  OpenPGP command line users can continue to use their command line tool for file encryption, while taking advantage of Diplomat’s extensive job scheduling and automation, secure file transfer, workflow management, job monitoring, and other business-critical features.

All pass-phrases, passwords, and other sensitive data that you enter during file transfer set-up are encrypted by Diplomat before being stored in a central transaction database. Diplomat only decrypts this data at run-time, so no sensitive data is ever written to disk in plaintext.

Diplomat makes it easy to know when file transfer set-up data has been changed.  Each screen in Diplomat displays a timestamp, user ID, and user IP address that reflects the last time any data on the screen was modified.

When a transient file transfer error occurs, Diplomat Enterprise Edition attempts to recover and complete the transfer without restarting the file transfer job. If a network glitch causes your FTP server to be momentarily unavailable, Diplomat automatically reattempts a connection after a few seconds.

Diplomat Enterprise Edition logs all file transfer set-up and run-time events to a log file.  When an error occurs during a file transfer, the built-in log file viewer makes it easy to locate and diagnose the problem. Enterprise Edition can also keep archive copies of files, in case a file needs to be resent.  You can set when to create new log files, delete old log files, whether to keep archive copies of files, and deletes archived copies.  With advanced troubleshooting, you can capture additional debug data and retain temporary files created during the job to assist in problem diagnosis.
