Management Team

The Coviant management team combines expertise in IT solutions for healthcare and financial services industries with strong product design and development skills.

Pamela A. Reid, CEO

Pam is a serial, high-tech entrepreneur. She was Chairman and CEO of Dovetail Software, a firm specializing in meta data transformation technologies, that was acquired by Ardent Software (now Ascential Software).  She was instrumental in assisting Volante Technologies through a merger and a spin-out to become a leader in trade exchange solutions with customers such as the New York Stock Exchange and Brown Brothers Harriman.  Earlier in her career, Pam held various management positions during her 12-year tenure at Digital Equipment Corporation, where she worked with large accounts such as Chemical Bank, Toys R Us, Blockbuster Video, and Food Lion.  Pam also provides strategic and operational consulting to a variety of high tech companies. Pam has an undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MS in Management from MIT.

James P. Cutler, VP Sales and Support

Jim has over 15 years of experience in supporting the IT needs of healthcare organizations – from clinic management solutions to systems for on-demand, personalized videos that educate patients on individual health issues.  He was an early implementer of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and other imaging technologies at companies such as TJX Corporation and Massachusetts General Hospital . Jim developed the concept that has become Diplomat Transaction Manager to address the needs of organizations for reliable, auditable transactions with trusted partners.

James J. Ford, CTO

Jim brings a wealth of software product design and implementation experience from the financial services industry to Coviant Software, including companies such as Nomura Securities, Merrill Lynch, Chemical Bank, and Met Life.  In addition to managing large development teams, Jim has been responsible for course development, training delivery, consulting services, and user support.  Recently, he has specialized in web-based applications using Java. Jim has a BS in Mathematics from Drexel University.
