Coviant Software Skips Met Gala to Collect More Awards

by | May 13, 2024

The 2024 Met Gala has come and gone, turned under the soil of The Garden of Time, as is the fate of all things. By all accounts this year’s chic charity fundraiser was another ostentatious display of garmentry done for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. But really, it was a bunch of fabulously wealthy people gathering to assure themselves that they are, indeed, fabulous.

Forgive Us, Zendaya

I couldn’t attend the Met Gala (again) this year because Coviant Software was busy gathering evidence that we are also, indeed, fabulous. Forgive me, Zendaya, but as CEO of that Little Old Software Company from Texas, I had to collect hardware for six superlatives awarded to our company, including:

Cybersecurity Excellence Awards

  • Product: Secure File Transfer – Diplomat MFT
  • Industry Solution: Financial Services – Diplomat MFT
  • Industry Solution: Healthcare – Diplomat MFT

Global InfoSec Security Awards

  • Market Leader – Coviant Software
  • Secure Enterprise-Grade Managed File Transfer Leader – Diplomat MFT
  • Secure Low Code/No Code Managed File Transfer – Diplomat MFT

The latter superlatives were announced during the 12th Annual Global InfoSec Awards at RSAC 2024 in San Francisco, one of the biggest cybersecurity trade events in the world. The awards were given by Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM), following a review of each company’s nomination submissions by a panel of independent judges comprised of cybersecurity professionals boasting bona fides like CISSP, FMDHS, CEH, and other industry certifications.

Scoured the Globe

“We scoured the globe looking for cybersecurity innovators that could make a difference and help turn the tide against the exponential growth of cyber-crime. Coviant Software and their secure-by-design Diplomat MFT managed file transfer solution is absolutely worthy of these awards,” gushed Yan Ross, global editor, Cyber Defense Magazine.

We agree with the good editor’s assessment. Following a year in which other managed file transfer products were targeted and exploited by cyber criminals, our secure-by-design Diplomat MFT stood apart and was not exploited. As the bad news unfolded, we were able to offer assurances to our customers that Diplomat MFT did not contain the same vulnerabilities that plagued other products. And we were also able to help many organizations that decided a change in their MFT software was in order after falling victim.

Rubbing Elbows with the Beautiful People

The annual Cybersecurity Excellence Awards have been around since 2016 honoring individuals and companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in information security. We strive to live up to those ideals by delivering a secure, managed file transfer solution that delivers enterprise scale performance, a secure-by-design architecture, and simplicity through automation of critical processes like PGP encryption management. And we do it at an ethical price while backing it up with the industry’s top-rated customer and technical support.

I’d fall back on the cliché that the only awards that matter to us are the kind words (and renewed agreements) we get from our many fabulous customers. So, while you’ll probably never see us on a red carpet in the Big Apple rubbing elbows with the beautiful people at swanky charity shindigs, it’s not because we aren’t worthy of being in such rarefied air. It’s because we’d rather be talking with the people who have put their trust in us, talking about what they need and what we can do to improve our products. And as long as we keep doing that, we’re confident that we will win more awards next year.
